The income from sericulture is basically one-third of the annual agricultural income. "Siming silkworms have low investment, short time, quick effect and high efficiency. Spring sows can only sell for 40 days before and after. Summer silkworms are kept for a shorter period of time, generally only 30 days." Dai Tingmao said that this year his family raised 5 species of spring silkworms. A total of 210 kilograms of spring sorghum was harvested and the income was 7,000 yuan.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Agriculture Committee of Fengdu County, this year, the county distributed a total of about 1,600 pieces of spring silkworms and about 1,000 tons of calves. Compared with the same period of last year, the number of sheets, the amount of calves and the price of silkworms were basically the same. This shows that in recent years, the development of sericulture in the county has been basically stable, and the market conditions are relatively stable.
It is understood that the county's annual silkworm sericulture is divided into four parts: spring silkworm, summer silkworm, autumn silkworm, and late autumn silkworm. With the end of the current spring harvest acquisition, silkworm farmers are catching the "empty file" to disinfect silkworm and silkworm cultivators.
